July 28, 2021, the University of Khartoum and HASH / Appness company launched a project to develop the university’s integrated electronic system. HASH won the tender due to the strong offer made also the company’s high technology and qualified cadres, in addition to the good reputation and great fame of the company. Various work teams from the University of Khartoum attended the inauguration, includes the Information Technology and Network Department, the Financial Department, the Human Resources Department, the Purchasing Department, the Warehouse Department, the Admission and Registration Department, Certification, and other related departments. The working teams discussed how to achieve the main objectives of the project and define the roles and responsibilities of each team member, in addition to the project management methodology and how to continuously communicate between the work teams to ensure that the project works in the required manner. The project aims to control administrative and financial work, develop academic work and raise its efficiency, in addition to rationalizing expenses, facilitating the implementation of daily and routine operations while increasing efficiency and accuracy, and providing the necessary reports to follow up and evaluate performance. The President of the University had previously issued a decision in the Council of Deans to immediately start the procedures for starting this important strategic project, which is expected to constitute a major shift for the University towards digital transformation and e-learning.
